Creation of advisory council

The SARAI Centro Caraga advisory council shall provide valuable ideas and guidance that strengthen SARAI Caraga’s strategic and operational quality, credibility, and impact, without necessarily be involved in its daily operations. The Councill shall play a critical, though non-executive, role in strengthening governance, strategy, and program effectiveness. Its duties can be framed as follows:

  1. Provide Strategic Guidance: Offers informed, forward-looking advice on SARAI Caraga’s vision, mission alignment, and long-term priorities. This includes assessing emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.

  1. Support Evidence-Based Decision-Making: Members contribute technical expertise and research-informed perspectives to guide leadership decisions. They help interpret data, evaluate policy options, and recommend best practices grounded in current knowledge.

  2. Review Programs and Initiatives. Periodically examines ongoing and proposed programs to ensure they are relevant, impactful, and aligned with SARAI goals. Constructive feedback is provided to improve design, implementation, and evaluation.

  1. Ensure Accountability and Transparency: While not directly involved in management, the advisory council promotes accountability by reviewing reports, monitoring progress indicators, and encouraging transparent reporting practices.

  1. Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement : Members often act as bridges to external stakeholders, including academic institutions, industry partners, government agencies, and communities. They may advise on partnerships, collaborations, and stakeholder communication strategies.
